A Stop Motion
Role: Writer, Editor | Timeline: 2 weeks | Tools/Skills: Premiere Pro, Photoshop
Project Description: This was one of my early explorations in stop-motion animation, created as a learning exercise to understand how motion is constructed frame by frame. The project helped me grasp the fundamentals of frame timing, continuity, and bringing static objects to life through incremental movement. The concept is lighthearted and playful, featuring two sticky notes playing a game of Pong as tension gradually builds between them. It was a fun and imaginative way to explore character expression and storytelling using simple materials and stop-motion techniques.
Learning Outcome
• Gained foundational understanding of stop-motion animation and how frame-by-frame movement creates the illusion of motion.
• Developed skills in timing, pacing, and continuity to enhance visual storytelling using simple materials.
• Explored character development and emotion through minimal design and physical animation techniques.
• Learned how to plan, shoot, and sequence stop-motion frames to maintain consistency and viewer engagement.
