Project Description: This project focuses on creating a film trailer that effectively captures the theme and genre of the film without revealing the full plot. Through strong visual storytelling and carefully selected music, the trailer conveys the film’s tone and narrative essence within a short runtime.
Plot/Concept: A student mysteriously stumbles upon a suspicious entity that begins following him around campus, disrupting his daily life. When he confides in his friend, he realizes that he’s the only one who can see it. Together, they search for a way to uncover the truth and get rid of this presence.
The film combines live-action and animated elements, allowing the mysterious figure to visually stand apart from the real world. This creative approach highlights the entity’s otherworldly nature and emphasizes its unsettling presence in the protagonist’s reality.
Learning Outcome
• Directed and edited a hybrid live-action/animation trailer that successfully conveyed tone and genre without revealing key plot points.
• Strengthened technical skills in Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop to blend animation with live footage for a cohesive, surreal visual style.
